The story takes place during Tudor times but does not involve the better known Tudor nobles. This novel is perhaps more of a "historical romance". I love historical fiction and quality or original offers in that genre have not been many over the past couple of years - "Wolf Hall" and "Bring Up the Bodies" being notable exceptions.
